I'm Boring

I've decided I'm boring. I don't have any hobbies. My job is boring. My life is not all that. I have run out of interesting things to say. I'm out of topics to blog about. Maybe I should just quit. I don't know....I've been racking my brain thinking trying to think of something to write about and came with NOTHING.

My youngest had three teeth pulled today. I got my teeth cleaned. I came to work. After I'm done here I'll go home. Probably watch some TV, check the kids homework, eat dinner and go to bed.

That is pretty much my day to day life. I don't have anything interesting happening to me. So why am I still here writing this? I have no idea.

My friend EC gave me a writing job lead. I took it and did a few articles for the guy and I haven't heard back from him. I guess my writing just isn't good enough. I guess that would explain why my comments have gone to pretty much zero. I know I have visitors, but what I write is just not interesting enough to keep anyone around.

If you need me....I'll be belly up to the bar.....drinking margaritas and singing with the mariachi band....AY YI YI YI......I need another margarita!

If it makes you feel better, I'm boring too. Doesn't mean your blog will be boring. It's a matter of focusing in on the little things to write about.

Hey sorry to hear that you are bore....sometimes life is pretty much very mundane, work, family, kids' homework, bedtime etc.

How about embarking on some activities that might be of interest? Exercising is another way to keep you occupy.

Take care.

I think that if you ask pretty much anybody about their life they'll tell you, "yep. boring." I know I feel that way about mine. As for your blog writing, I have a suggestion. Try reading. Like *real* reading; read books, novels, literature of all kinds! (I'm sure there's a "Blogging for Dummies" book out there SOMEwhere, hahaha!) My blog was in a bit of a drought and I basically quit writing - like one or two posts a month. I just felt like I didn't have anything exciting to write about and that I couldn't come up with an exciting way to write the boring things. So in my spare time I started reading... I feel like my vocabulary, creativity, grammar - all that good stuff - have shot STRAIGHT through the roof! Plus you get to experience all these fun adventures in other characters lives; it makes mine feel alot more exciting which makes my outlook and therefor my writing more exciting. :)

My mantra is "dull is good". The exciting stuff for example your inlaws can eat your soul. Andrew mentioned you on his blog.
Write here for yourself. Don't live for the comments.

Sometimes, I feel the same way about my life.... but when I look around at others lives, I realize I'm pretty lucky. Having excitement in your life isn't necessarily a good thing... it could be turmoil. So, just like Lynette (above) said... dull is good. I never get comments on my blog either, but you know what? It's ok... I write it because I like to do it for me. Hang in there!

Lisa,

You shouldn't blog for the sake of blogging. You shouldn't post for the sake of posting.

I love your blog, but it is all over the place. You need focus, you need a niche. I'd rather read one really great post from you per week than seven little mundane posts per week.

Step 1 - Passion:
What are you passionate about in life? Do you know? Think back to when you were a little girl; think real hard; and ask yourself what did you want to be when you grew up? What excites you? What things are you obsessed with? If you could be doing anything in the world right now, what would it be? Are you close to this goal or is it far away? What is the first step towards achieving your dream?

Whatever the answer is to these questions should be the focus of your blog and your life. Start with passion. If we always have that flame burning inside of us; if we constantly remind ourselves what the fuck is our purpose on this planet, then we are destined for great things.

Step 2 - Focus:
Once you figure out your passion, then write it down. Every morning, wake up and remind yourself what you are up to. Every day should be one tiny step in the right direction. When you go to bed at night, ask yourself what you did to achieve your dream. Remind yourself of your passion.

Step 3 - Action:
Use your blog as a tool for what you are passionate about. Write about your goals and dreams. Then figure out what the next step is to achieving it; go out and do it; then write a post about it. Write about the trials and tribulations. Write about your successes.

Don't worry about posting every day, take your time and write something from deep inside you. You get out what you put in. A post that you put hours into writing, revising, and editing will get much more attention than a quick post that takes 10 minutes to write. I'm not saying write a long posts, just write a quality posts!

Phew, that was probably my longest comment EVER! Probably could be a good post. Regardless, this is my opinion but I could be full of shit, who knows:)

Sincerely,

Matt Savage

If you are comparing your life to that of others - don't.

Also, you have it in you to change your circumstances.

Sometimes it's the small things that make a difference.

I'm sorry to hear that you think you are boring. But sometimes I think that it is better to be boring compared to being in danger. I hope little bits of excitement find you each and everyday. Those smaller things can definitely add up in the end.

Also, if it makes you feel any better. Nobody even visits my blog. I barely even have three comments for the entire week.

Hey Ladybug, I got your site from Andrew's blog. Boring is life sweetie. Don't blog for others, blog for you. My blog seems really boring sometimes, but it is just the rantings of the weird things that flash thru my head. Blog on LB.

Why base your life on writing? Why have the same habbits? Why live where you live? why why why. Everything we know is infinate, the only finate thing we know is death but is it finate? We think it is. Infinity is a bitch; we will never know becaus it is beyound our comprehencion.
